This impressive weight reduction is achieved by milling out long channels from the center of a solid guide bar, followed by welding a thin steel plate over the channels using a specialized laser welding process.

This lighter design significantly decreases operator fatigue, particularly on longer bars. Additionally, the guide bar features a replaceable sprocket nose assembly at the nose, which carries the saw chain from the top to the bottom. This not only helps reduce wear but also allows for a notably narrower bar nose, which enhances safety by reducing kickback tendencies. The sprocket nose assembly is designed for multiple replacements, prolonging the service life of the guide bar.

Applications: Ideal for high-performance woodcutting with larger displacement professional STIHL chainsaws. STIHL recommends utilizing low-kickback, green-labeled chains and green-labeled reduced-kickback bars on all powerheads.
